About Kurosh Kiani
From professional windsurfer to leading brand innovation: my career embodies the power of passion transformed into strategic vision. Born in Iran and raised in Denmark from age 6, I discovered windsurfing at 12 and quickly rose through competitive ranks. By 16, I was competing in the Danish Championship tour, and just two years later, I claimed the Junior Danish Champion title. My professional career took flight in 2007 when I participated in my first World Cup Championship Tour, and by 2010, I was competing full-time, winning the Danish Slalom Championship and numerous local contests. I spent seven years on the PWA World Tour, traveling the globe and pursuing my passion.

While windsurfing took me around the world, it also nurtured my interests in travel, photography, and storytelling. My experiences led to contributing articles in prestigious publications like Windsurf Magazine, Windsport Magazine, and Boards Magazine. I’ve always been passionate about documenting my journey through my website and social media, sharing my adventures with fellow enthusiasts.
Over the past six years, I’ve been able to shift my focus from competing professionally to my other passion: marketing. As the Global Head of Marketing for a leading windsurfing brand, I’ve applied my diverse skill set to build compelling brand narratives. My background in Business Administration and Computer Science from Copenhagen Business School has allowed me to thrive in this role, leveraging emerging technologies in AI, social media, and content creation to develop innovative marketing strategies.

Throughout my career, I’ve worn many hats—from professional athlete to instructor who once led camps for aspiring windsurfers of all ages, helping to grow the sport I love.
Currently based in the Canary Islands, I balance my marketing career with my continued love for windsurfing. The trade winds and perfect conditions here provide endless opportunities to stay connected to the water and refine my skills. My journey continues to be guided by my core belief: perseverance and practice brings you far!

Since the early days, I’ve been used to working on the road.
